About Us
The Climbing Wall was built by Livingstone and opened to the public in December 1995 by Sir Chris Bonnington.
The wall can be used for bouldering, top roping or leading. It consists of a 7 meters high moulded surface wall, with slabs, cracks, overhangs and arêtes. In addition to the usual slab, corner, arête, crack and overhang routes we offer the amazing ROOF ROUTE. This provides 7 metres of horizontal climbing across the ceiling. There is a huge STALACTITE hanging from the centre. The whole floor is covered in deep foam matting, making it very user friendly.
Other Climbing facilities include a bouldering cave, 7m long balcony traverse wall, a triple finger board exercise corner, a 3m high Campus board and a 45° angled Rope Ladder. We also have an adjustable overhang from 90° to 45°. Whatever style of climbing you are into, whether its traditional top belaying, sport climbing, bottom roping, bouldering or just having a workout, then Peterborough Climbing Wall is for you.
